Custom key head S badges
These fit in the indented area in the stock S2000 key. They just stick on with the same very strong adhesive we have on our wheel and body badges, and they won't come off. There's nothing to do with the immobilzer, since you're customizing the stock key.
I was in the first group buy for the JDM key, and IMHO, it's not worth the $. The center metal piece is now all scratched to hell and it now looks like s**t.
We were going to try to do something to improve the JDM key, but decided this would be a much better and more economical solution, with more customizing options for the individual owner.

We don't have a price yet, but we're hoping to keep a pair around $15-20 or less. I won't know until early next week. Production should begin next week, and I'm guessing they'll be available in about 3 weeks.
BTW, in response to requests already made, we should be able to produce a version with a brushed aluminum metallic look.

I need to do some more searching online but I found some info on 3M Ahesion Promoter. This liquid is used by some installation folks for wood dash kits and the like. Place a little of this on any plastic and the sticker will never ever (did I mention never, ever) move. Trust me.
You'll want to use something like this as simple cleaning with alcohol won't be enough (IMO). I've used this 3M adhesion promoter in the past and it works very, very well.

3M #4298 Adhesive Promoter
Use of 3M Adhesive Promoter chemically modifies the dash surface and promotes a good bond with the 3M foam adhesive. When priming, apply one even coat and avoid building layers of primer, which can compromise the bond.
Here is an excerpt from Tips from 3M Tech Service, by Dale Stewart, 3M Technical Service Specialist, 3M Automotive Division, Vol. 1 No. 13:
"It is important to be aware that priming the surface will never take the place of cleaning it. It is crucial to do both. Prior to priming, be certain to remove oily residue from dash surfaces by using an appropriate cleaner such as 3MTM General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner or 3MTM Prep Solvent 70 and a clean, lint free cloth... the average dash kit takes approximately 40-60 minutes to install if all surface protection steps are correctly observed. Cleaning takes about 10 minutes and priming about 15 minutes depending on the size and complexity of the kit. However, reinstallation time for a failed application can take anywhere from 60-90+ minutes depending on the size and location of the failed part...It is time consuming to remove wood trim and clean and prime the interior dash surfaces for re-installation. 3M encourages installers to plan ahead and invest their time in the initial preparation for best long-term results."
Data Sheets on 3MTM Adhesive Promoter can be obtained from 3M customer service at 800-362-7183.
I'm wondering if this "chemical modification" will work with the adhesive of the badges.

I was just PM'ing you and came back to see the part# on the 3M product. I knew you had the dash kits and was hoping you used this adhesion promoter. My question is:
Where can we buy some?
I get them straight from 3M, but not sure if they sell to the public. I think nappa autoparts may have it?
If you need a few, I could send you some, but can't do that for everyone unless they get a dash kit.
