Actually, I Had the 8B5S5B for years, and ducked a parking ticket once, and who knows how many "drive by speedings" by zealot cell phone busybodies?. The guy had written it down wrong, as I had planned it - like 885S5B. It was for $25, but I hate that BS and was off work that day, so i went to court.
When they called my case, I approached and the judge asked me what I pleaded - and I said "Not Guilty". The prosecutor did a double take, but the Judge calmly said "Really- on what grounds"? And I said, "The city cannot prove its case". So after 10 minutes of the prosecutor "proving" his case, I pointed out that he must be talkking about someone else's car, since my car did not have the plate written on the citation. I offered up my current registration as proof, and Judge took his glasses off to review my reg and the ticket. He looked at the prosecutor and said "They're different all right". The prosecutor comes over and looks at my reg, and says lamely, "Your Honor, they are very close and his car is the same model...". Judge looks at me with a hint of a smile and says "Close, but no cigar..dismissed!".
Heheheheh.
As I said, stealth works. Here is the current one:
That's surprising...because the customized plates have to be reviewed before they are approved. A friend of mine wanted to get "HARTNSOL" for her del Sol, but they denied her application because "SOL" could have been misinterpreted as "s*** outta luck".
Coincidentally, they approved my del Sol plate recently: PURESOL (with the "O" being a heart, since the other configuration was already taken )
