Default Custom Mounting for Stock Seat

Has anyone enlisted the services of a shop to make a custom mounting system for the stock seat?

My goal is is throw out the adjustability of the stock slider setup, mount the seat steady state as low and as far back as possible. I am pretty sure I could mount the seat on the floor and still have barely enough room for my legs under the wheel. Damn this lanky frame of mine

I am looking for advice from anyone who has tried this. Successes, failures, etc. All comments are welcome.

Here's a thread on lowering the seat. I wouldn't want to sacrifice the movement though.

I've read that thread about ten times since joining the community. Not for me. I'll need more room than one inch.

Thanks for the link, though.

About the movement, I would think that to lower the seat the amount that I desire, sacrifices would need to be made. Ideally, I would like to place the seat down in the recession behind the floor support member. Tilting the front of the seat bottom up after lowering the assembly would probably be necessary for leg support.

I imagine there are quite a few owners who would purchase something like this. Floor mounting would be ideal. I don't care if it adds 20 pounds.

my question would be, has anyone modified the plastic behind the seat to allow the seat to recline further without having to move it forward on the rails? Right now I can recline the seat just enough to be comfortable while still maintaining the correct pedal distance.. but sometimes I feel like loungin'

Have you tried taking it to an upholsterer? A local in my group had taken his to get his side bolsters replace b/c the seat was so worn. While they had the leather off, they replaced the bottom with a gel pack type padding and added som lumbar support. I'm sure they could just as easily have sliced a few inches off the bottom of the cushion to make the seat lower. It only cost him about $40 to do the fitting so I'd imagine it would take too much to have some foam recut.

I don't want to modify the seat itself at all. I love the way it feels/fits. I just want the whole thing 3 or 4 inches lower. There is definitely enough room under the seat (I've measured).
