Default Lowering the Drivers Seat

Hey all, I've been really thinking about trying to find a way to lower the drivers seat in my S. I already beat on the seat pan and it lowered it a bit and now the back of the seat hits my back very well. The problem is that, although I'm 6'2", i get a lot of my height in my mid-section. My head still sticks up pretty high and I don't have a great view of the gauges. Also, the top of the windsheild obstruct my vision pretty bad. It seems to be just where stop light are at. I'm afraid trying to lower seat pan anymore will probably just make the seat really uncomfortable for me.

I was thinking about changing out the seat mount for the drivers seat only. I'm the only one that drives it so it doesn't need to slide or anything. Anyone know if there is a seat mount out there that is lower?

Also, I'm not opposed to trying to make some kind of mount myself, but i want it to be safe incase of a wreck. What should I use to try to make one?

Been there, done that. The bottom line is the stock seat pan can go about an inch or so lower, then it starts hitting the floor. The only way to substantially lower your seating position is with an afterrmarket seat and brackets. I had a Sparco Roadster on Taitec rails in my car, and that worked quite well.

Here are some threads that i found that may provide more information:

hmmm, well for me being able to lower the whole seat about an 1 or so would really be worth it for me. I might try bending the back like was said in one of those threads there. It would be nice if the seat was up a little more than the back. I guess i'll just have to paly w/ it and go from there. Thanks.
