In getting a BBK, are you looking for a performance upgrade, or bling?

If you are looking for performance, talk to the folks in the Racing and Competition forum. The stock brakes are exceptionally good. With a pad and fluid upgrade, it makes a BBK kit an expensive exercise with little, if any gains.

For bling, a BBK does look exceptionally cool in the front, with some of those cute little wavy rotors in the back.

Thumbs down

Hey Buddy, If I had 5k, I would get a set of Volks for sure, either Ce28n's or Te37's. Also, take time to check out the Work Emotion Cr Kai's on evasivemotorsports.com!!! they're cheap but QUALITY and good lookin!!

Secondly I'd get the AEM intake, just got mine installed, and going through the gears now is a BLAST!

Thirdly, you car is going to LOVE you if you give it the Spugen V.2. Exhaust, best looking out there IMO.

Fourthly, depending on if you splooged on the volks or not, you may be able to afford some nice coilovers so you car sits lower, MUCH more aggressive looks will help ALOT!

Thank you for the great follow up everyone.
I called king motosports and I ordered header, exhaust, sparkplugs cover. It was so hard not to order the intake :/

After reading all the follow ups on the thread, the only item that I am not sure to get anymore is the wheels, I consider all my upgrade 'bling' with the exception of the supercharger but I bought the 100K bumper to bumper warranty extension so I not so sure I want to get the supercharger.

So far I order the following :

Mugen header
Mugen exhaust
Mugen sparkplug covers

and I am going to order

Comptech x-brace

What is going to have to wait is the
Comptech strut bar
Comptech Supercharger
Ohlins Suspension
Comptech brake system
Wheels (I don't want to use spacers for the bbk)

I say get rims and a small drop. That should be enough to set your car apart from your coworkers by a fair bit. Then save whatever is leftover after those two mods for your supercharger.
I am getting too old for the drop

I do want a fully adjustable suspension though. My RAM has a hotchkis TVS system with Bilstein shocks and while happy with the performance, I prefer a fully adjustable suspension.

I put some sparco seats on one of my cars and while they are 'cool' I prefer the stock seats that I have on my s2000. I am considering to sell the sparco now (mounted on a truck)

Anyone interested on a black/gray pair of Monza's

I like your sugestions, we do think alike but the budget is not the total budget is the money I want to spend right now.

I need to do some research about the swaybars, I really don't know what is available for the S2000 (besides comptech)

I do around 20 tracks days a year (motorcycle), if I tell my future wife that I want to start doing autoX she will go on me.
