You can still run a reasonably aggressive drop/wheel setup without rubbing everywhere. I think a 2" drop over stock is good. Depending on your front lip setup I'd say a 2 finger gap is the way to go. Looks good, is easy to drive everyday and allows your car to handle the way it was meant to. There are experts out there that are more than willing to help - especially since you're crossing over to sanity.

stock height s2000 looks funny to me

But, I think you're looking for something thats not stock height, but not tucking.

Swift GT is a great example!

Honestly I think hellaflush is hellafail.

Lowered cars with wider wheels look great but you have to be subtle with it...Some people thing more is better.

They make the car almost impossible to drive and completely ruin its handling characteristics.

Function will never go out of style

I think anywhere from 1"-1.5" drop is alright. 2" seems pushing it IMO. Mine is dropped on Tein S-techs (~1" all around) and I've been fine 99.99% of the time.

And as far as tires go, are you looking for little road noise? Cause my personal preference is more grip, so I'd say RE-11, Star Spec, AD08, or something alone those lines.

OEM AP2 stones should be decent grip and noise

your ride height depends on the road condition where you live, down in s fl we have really good roads for the most part so if i wanted to i could really lower the car. i think overall a finger gap is subtle for dd

ive had my car for a month and a half and i have put like 5k miles already lol

Hey guys, after 2 years of ownership im finally trying to shake off the "lowered and dope wheels" thing that i transfered over from my VW days.

After a problem with ill fitting wheels and being to low i destroyed both front fenders, I decided i'm 100% done with the low thing. This morning i even pulled the fender out more on OEM ap1 wheels.

My questions is i want to start DAILY DRIVING my s2000, i have only logged 3k miles since last May!

What do you guys recommend as a good ride height? Also what method are you using to measure? Also what summer tires are most popular? I have 2 sets of ap1 wheels, one with winter tires and the ones im running now have Toyo Proxes 4's.

Sorry for the novel and im looking forward to your responses.

-Nick.
I like the look of a 1-2" drop, but I LOVE the total carefree freedom of running at stock height. I'm in southeastern Virginia, and our roads really suck. And... as a 47 year college professor, I don't really need the slammed and dope thing either.

I daily at this ride height (PSS9's) with no problems at all as long as I angle it going into driveways. I don't even scrape the rubber flaps in front of the front wheels at this height:

Meant to tell you, that is one fine looking ride!!

(PS - live in VA now, but I grew up in Mission Viejo)
