Default Damage from road debris

I watched my poor car get pelted with hail the size of ping pong balls the other day and feared the worst. I was going to take a picture but the digital camera battery was dead. I went out to inspect the damage fearing the worst and found that my car alone took the beating without a scratch. Both of my neighbors' cars were dented from the hail.

Upon inspection I noticed that although my car had survived the hail with amazing durability, the front end of my car looks like it flew through the flak over Berlin in WWII. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Perhaps it is something that I am doing or not doing with my wash/wax maintenance? My entire front bumper could use repainting and the hood and fenders are battle scarred all the way back to the front tires. I do not live on/near any gravel roads. Most of the roads I travel are very well maintained. It is depressing for such a beautiful car with just over 40k miles to be so scarred.

I would like to know if this is a typical hazzard of driving in traffic or if there is anything I can do to prevent this in the future.

If you live in a place where there is crap on the roads, this is normal. CA is really bad for this. I went with a clear bra. It works to keep the damage down to a minimum.

I don't have any handy here at work, but it is nearly invisible on my silver except for the edges that show up better as the car gets dirty. I have it on my white accord also, and it is more visible on that color. (I noticed you have a white S) Mine is the 3M version.

Compared to having the hundreds of chips I get here in CA, I will do it to every one of my cars regardless of color.

I've never seen/heard of a clear bra before. I'm with Red Devil I would like to see some pics if you have them. I'm especially interested since your car is also Sebring Silver.

I did a quick search online for a clear 3M bra and came across this.

Is this what you were referring to?

it's normal for it to get chips and stuff on the front bumper and fenders because it's low. my windshield also has alot of nicks and scratches from rocks on it.
