Yep...think you learned a lesson here. Glad you weren't hurt but I would definitely have the car checked out to make sure you don't have any damage underneath. Good luck!

How would it not start? Would it crank?

It's possible you sucked some water into the engine, especially when you went through the spin cycle. Have it checked out immediatly.

If you have problems with it starting try taking the key out for a few seconds and putting it back in.

Oh, and take the advise of Bass up above to heart.

I spun out over the weekend in dry conditions and hit one of those markers on the road (the plastic kind). Everyone is ok, but the passenger side body is totally messed up. The car is in the body shop now waiting for insurance to estimate and give the ok to repairs. Strange thing is that after the spin something similar happened - the car wouldn't immediately start. After a few seconds/minutes (who has any concept of time after something like this happens) it started. When my girlfriend went to meet me at the body shop with the car after work she said it wouldn't immediately start. I remember somewhere reading that the ECU may to be 'reset' after something like this happens because of the spinning (I believe it was because there was a shut-off for the engine built into the ECU to occur when equilibrium gets thrown out of whack). Is this true?

Let me know what happens with your car! Glad no one got hurt - believe me I can sympathize...

After the S2000 pulls a few g's in a spin (typically on a less than full gas tank), the engine will have trouble starting because of fuel starvation - I've seen this happen on a number of students' S2000's at autocrosses after a spin.

So What can one do or tell ones body shop to do to correct this?

Will it correct itself?
