Default Damn Antenna Thieves!!!

Check out this link I found on the Celica forum.....

Sucks that our antennas are sought after by a lot of people.... They list it as a "mod" on their cars after ripping it off of a S2000.

What can you expect I guess,
The average Celica owner is in their late teens or early 20's
Stealing in general for most people at that age is somewhat normal....

I sure would like to walk up on one unscrewing it off my S though.....

337 = the american version of the 25th anv. Golf. 6 speed 180HP sits on 18's and a nice body kit from the factory only 1500 made this year all in reflex silver.

This would have been my next car if the S had not been invented. In fact I might still trade the S for one as I have done quite a bit to the 1.8T motors over the last few years.

No this is from the canadian plant I believe or the german one depends on when you got yours. The early new body style 1.8T's were made in the german plant, compared to the mexican ones later that year they were exactly the same, VW's got there car lines down pat.

Now everybodys going to love this. Before I had the S I had a turbo new beetle. I have owned like 7-10 vw beetles over the years I love them. But mine with the K04 APR (1.5 Bar) kit with the FMIC would kick the living crap out of most of the cars on the street. Of course driving the beetle to the track would throw them off but it was nice and quick.

As for the 337 it's got a roof, as much as I like my S where I live and drive my car is a prime target, so far I have been lucky. Also with the new 1.8T internals and with the golf having a nicer flowing turbo setup could get some real power out of the motor and save some money on my monthlys which right now is more important them anything.

(even used one for my 917 replica and am using a

SB,

my friend loves his 337, but he came from a 2000 Jetta, so he's got the v'dub bug. i like it but i wish VW had tuned it for more power from the factory. i know you can do it aftermarket, but it would have been nice to have 200+hp from the factory. it's very different from an S2000, they're both cool.

those 18inch BBS wheels are nice.
