So, I have to go to Memphis TN for a week on business. So, I wash the S and put 2 coats of wax on it and it looks better than when I drove it off the showroom floor. I put my sweetheart in the garage, cover it, and shut the door making sure to lock it, and tell her Ill be back in a week and not to worry. So my Fiance and I go to Memphis, (which by the way is the worst city I have ever been to, business shut down, crime seems rampid, and Graceland only stays open till 5:00pm, so I couldnt even do that, and beale st sucks.) So I come back disappointed about the trip only to find my garage door is broken. Not just broken, but split wide open at the top. So I call the garage door fixer guys and they say its gonna be a week before they can get out to fix it, and by the way stuff is just dangeling off the runner, I am afraid to open the door because with my luck, the whole damn unit will fall off the ceiling an right on the S2K. So no fun for me for the next week. Just thought I would shair my pain.

 

I feel your pain. I had my stook in the shop for a little over a week before, and that was the longest week on record! Just make sure the sky doesn't fall.

 

I'll lose my car for 3+ weeks when I have the repaint done... I feel your pain and then some already, and I haven't even left it with them yet!

 

3 weeks, holy crap are you serious? Seems excessive but maybe not....I've never had a car painted before

 

I have to agree with you about Memphis. My wife (then girlfriend/fiancee) lived there for a year and we both disliked everything about it. Beale St wasn't too bad if you like Blues and don't mind watching drunken homeless people drink discarded beers from the garbage.

 

I've lived in Memphis for 20 years and I have to agree. I very rarely go down town. I go to see ball games sometimes but the cops do a good job of controling the area around the park. I was down ther last weekend for my wife's HS reunion and when I left at midnight, it was bedlam. No one was obeying stop lights, it was completely grid locked. Cops were everywhere but not doing a damn thing about it. It took me 45 minutes to go 2 blocks. It wasn't always like this. Just in the last 5 years. Not one brain in government here boys.
