My guess is they will have one out next year---that was my only regret was not having one in my S. With all the other cars having them Honda should bring it over. I think they wanted to keep the car at a certain price and figured Americans wouldn't purchase the "option" but seeing most of the forums and talking to owners at meets everyone wishes Honda had added them in production. I don't think honda would lose any sales if they did a split w/ ones w/ NAV and some w/out!

Japs are more into electronics than we are. Honda was probably 100% sure that the navigation would sell. But I'm thinking about how sought after the S2000 is. I can't imagine a buyer saying, "This is the color I wanted and everything, the only problem is that it has this damn built in navigation system. I don't want this car. I'll just wait another 8 months until I can find this color scheme without the navi."

It is not symmetrical in any axis. It will not fit!

BTW, I the JDM has a manufacturer option for the navi-dash. When you order the car, you specify if you want the navi or not. The navi is about $2500.

also, in Japan, almost 75% of the cars on the road have a navi-system installed. The roads are impossible here in Japan. Most streets do not have a name, only the major multi-lane roads have names. The only way to easily locate someplace is with a navigation until.

also, since since traffic is a major problem here in Japan, the navi has a feature that can give feedback on local traffic conditions and route your course accordingly.

This is my second car that I bought while living in Japan, and I can positively say, that a Navigation unit is not an option.

Needless to say, every new car model has a navi option.

I viewed a Japanese Import car the other day and it had an LCD in the dash for sat nav...

The boot also contained a DVD ROM drive, which I'm guessing was for installing software for it for specific countries.

Does anyone know how I could get the sat nav to work ober in great britain?

Would it be the caase of buying this DVD ... or will I have to buy other parts?
