Default Day At PIR first time

I posted this for Portland people about a month ago but no one showed up, YOUR LOSS! All I can say is WOW! I have autoX'ed many times but this was my first track day. I must of been on crack, I had no idea it was so hard core, I had no idea just what the S2000 can really do, my eyes are completely open. The S2000 proves to be a great AutoX car but the track is completely different.

It was an excellent day, it rained only during tech inspection and the rest of the day was broken clouds. this was a tri club meet with alpah, bwm an porches so about 120 car made it. Tons of different Porches (2 boxster S's), a few alphas tons of M BMW's. 3 NSX's and best of all a Ferari 360 and testorosa. 3 Subaru WRX's showed up, 1 was already race prep'ed. then there was me in the S2000 and it seemed obvious that most others had not even seen on at the track yet.

I had to do novice which meant 2 of my 4 runs were with an instructor. the instructor liked it so much he wanted to drive it for half of my 3rd run. We finished with a shit eating grin on his face and he

Thanks for the info. Send me a note the next time you go and if I'm free I'll go with. I've been wondering what my s2000 would feel like on a track.

Most of them have seen an s2k out there, mine, and there's another one that belongs to a guy that's a very good driver that use to go out there in a mustang cobra, but he traded in on an s2000... I love PIR, but after watching vids of SIR, I cannnnnnooot wait to get up to Seattle...

Todd,

The track is an awesome place to be!!!! I can't believe they let people out with no instructor on their first day.????

Bang for the buck, the track beats Auto-X by...ummm.. millions of smiles!

Although I usually beat on my cars, i actually felt slightly (very slight) uncomfortable keeping my car floored for 20 minutes at a time....but... natural now!

have fun.... keep all 4 on the black stuff!
