Day of Small Projects
A few hours after waking up today I decided it was time to work on my car. I changed my oil today with the Spoon X Brace on. At first I thought it was going to be a pain in the ass, but it actually went fine. It was just a little messy with the oil sliding down the sides of the X Brace.
Afterwards, my brother in law helped me start the small project of clearing out the headlights. It took a good 4 hours to complete the job. But this does include a break for dinner and having to take the font bumper off at the last second...we forgot to place the foam reinforcement back in. So that added a little bit of time to the whole process.
So far it looks great. The turn signal area is lot dimmer than the headlights so those will probably be replaced with something clear. I'm sure if we had started this during the day (when it was sunny out) it would've gone faster. But of course we decided to do this when it was already dark

I'll try to take some pics once I get through and wax everything. I just got done cleaning out the interior right now. I'll also take some shots of the other cars that are around the house.

I've changed S's with Mingster's Xbrace, and the Spoon. With Mingster's I gotta use a deep socket or an extension. With the Spoon, I don't have to use an extension at all. Both are semi clean, but dripping oil all over the Xbrace - just gotta wipe it up afterwards.

[yeah, yeah...I can simply look at my own avatar...
but I wanna see your car!!!]Thanks in advance!
A little hint when doing oil changes with X brace. Take a piece of aluminum foil, about 2 feet square. Roll up the edges on 3 sides about 3-4 inches in. Loosen the drain plug so you can remove by hand strength. Slide this foil above the X brace and under the drain plug with the unrolled edge toward the passenger side. It's this side that the oil will flow down. When done, pull out the foil, no mess.
