Default De-badging?

Every time I get around to cleaning up my car I think about how good it would look without the Honda emblem on the hood and back... I almost took a shot at taking them off yesterday but wound up taking a long drive instead... with that said...

Has anyone debadged their s cars? Seems to me I heard a hair dryer and dental floss was the way to do it. My question is, will doing this leave any marks on the paint? Thinking once the badges are off a little polish and wax will remove any traces that they were there. Appreciate any advice you might be able to offer.

if you do the ones on the front and back, you should replace them. there are 2 small holes that are used to mount these emblems. so if you take if off you're left with mounting holes that you'd have to fill... either with new badges (ricks, black chrome etc) or have it filled in and repainted etc.

the ones on the side however are just stuck on with adhesive

You'll also need to undo the clips on the posts that hold the front badge or cut the posts.

See they act like its as easy as takeing those things off. It took me a week to get the adhesive crap off my car. I tried bug and tar remover alcohol and finally goo gone. But its by far the most difficult part of the whole thing. you have to keep spraying goo gone on your car and let it set for hours and then it will finaly come off. I recommend just leaving them on because that stuff is to much of a hassle.

Recommendation taken... thanks to all of you for your help. Saw a post earlier today suggesting these boards weren't up to par... I would disagree... I am always appreciative for the advice and suggestions offered by the folks who come here to play and learn...

Man, I didn't know there were holes behind those badges... that would have been pretty uncool... thanks again!

if you dont mind the migraine of getting that stupid adhesive off. Those holes can be plugged with small vinyl plugs from a hardware store. They arent beautiful but if you lose a peace of the rear badge and dont want to spend 45 on a new one they are ok.

If i had it to do over i wouldn't have messed with it.
