I got mine at Winter Chevrolet Honda in Pittsburg, CA, out over Walnut Creek in May for MSRP. The salesman was Joey Talavera, his cell phone (925)323-9958, and his email: WINTERAUTO@aol.com. You will have to drive a little or take BART like I did (they picked me up at the BART station), but their service was perfect. I like it so much that I went back there and got Accord for my daughter last month. I was able to negotiate and finalize everything over email.

I saw a few over at Capitol Honda not sure what their price is though. They had red and yellow some with hardtops. I believe I saw at least 4 on their lot.

I got mine from Winter Honda also. Got it for 2k above msrp when the 2001's were brand new. Pretty good considering... They did all the barganing over the phone before I came in.

I had good luck at Dublin Honda - but be prepared to pay about $ 1250 to $ 1350 over MSRP.
That of course was before the tragedy in New York and Washington. Obviously the car dealers
have far fewer customers now. You may be able to cur a better deal. Dublin, I believe, may have sold their last 2001. You may possibly be able to get a 2002 when they arrive. I have heard rumors the 2002 model may be delayed, but don't know why.

Good luck!

Try Priceline.com and limit your search to the Bay Area counties. It costs you 50 bucks if they find you one at the price you specify, nothing if they do not. It worked like a charm for me although last February I had to go to El Centro to get MSRP. It was worth it however. Ray Baldwin at Priceline is very good to work with in my view.

Well, If you're in Sunnyvale, then Hayward would not be a far drive. Hayward Honda is selling s2000's at list...they're located on Mission. They don't seem to get as much business as Fremont Honda, so they seem to be more competitive. I got mine at list with a few extras.
