Default Dealer Information - Very thin.

Ok so I am in the UK and I phone the headquarters in the UK for some info on the '02. Anyway, you already know I didnt get any information so I will move swiftly on.
Decided to phone the Honda main number in the States, they were a little more helpful but kept asking if the Honda S2000 was a motorcycle...ho hum. They put me in touch with a Honda Dealer in the states, I gathered that 2 colours are being produced (yeah yeah, we all know this). I tried to get the dealer to send me the new colour strips but he was pains to point out that it was such a small strip that it seemed pointless. He went on to say that this is the last year the car will be produced in it's current form, i.e. the next one aint gonna be called the S2000. I don't know how true it is but just thought I'd let you ppl know.
So I am pretty much back where I was, to wait or wonder! - oh how cruel life is...

Often.

Wow, that's totally freaking amazing...but not surprising in the least!

I say, take the plunge...go for it now. You'll be doing this -----> in no time...

Honda dealers should be gagged and bound. Every time they open they claptraps about the S2000, they have no idea what they are talking about. I would be rolling on the floor laughing if it wasn't so pathetic!

(BTW, what the dealer was saying is patently untrue...in case you couldn't figure that out from my post here...)

Tell me about it. When I placed the order all the dealer was able to show me was a printed representation of the color. And as we all know a printed representation of the color is just about as good to me as all the rumors of a glass rear window.

My dealer told me they will have a Blue 2002 as early as October. Mine is due in December, this way I figure if I don't like the blue I can change my order. When I see the car with my own two eyes I will be able to comment on the color and any changes/ updates.

Think of it as Christmas, we'll have to wait and be surprised.

Indeed, I understand the lack of information these people have on the S2000, even though they are Honder Dealers this should never actually be a factor in what they know or what they say. I have the documents for the S2000 order here!!! - Just need a definate colour. If I order now will I actually get a silverstone (prefered choice) or will they contact me a few months into the build wait and say "I'm sorry sir, would you like the sebring silver" (a colour I have never actually seen on a car). If this is to be the case then I may opt for the Monte Carlo Blue - that's how easily I am converted from one colour to the next. Money is no good if you cant make choices...
