Dealership refused to fix Clutch Buzz

Default Dealership refused to fix Clutch Buzz

I drove to the closest Honda dealership today. (40 miles away)

The technician rode shotgun in my car to replicate the problem.
Technician confirmed the problem. They manager then called the district manager to see if i would be able to get a goodwill repair.

District manager called back and said it was up to me to fix the problem and he would not give me a goodwill repair.

My car is a 2001 berlina with 34,602 miles!

The technician told me to call the customer service center to see if they would override the district managers decision. The rude woman informed me that i would have to open a case. Then went on to tell me the car would have to be taken apart to confirm the problem to open said case.


What are my options at this point? Please help!

It's a very big hassel thus far.

I have not yet read a successful post of repairing a TSB for a car out of warranty

It's out of warranty. Good will repairs are an option, not a requirement. Perhaps with recent perceptions of economic downturn, they are cutting back their gestures.

Try going to another Honda dealership even if its far away, its worth the gas spent to see if they would goodwill it.

which dealership is it?

given that this needs a tear down. they wont authorize anything.

whatever you do, dont get angry and start threatening them by saying you will never buy another Honda product.

They definately wont help you if they dont see a return on their investment. Instead, be nice and tell them how you have owned previous Hondas and tell them how much you would appreciate their assistance on this repair.
