Default deceleration buzz fix will help shifitng?

Ok. If I get the TSB done for the decel buzz, will it improve the 1/2 / 2/3 shifting? I dearly love this car but having to pause to shift into second and then third is annoying the crap out of me. So the question again, if I get the "plate" replaced for the buzz, will it lessen the sensation of hitting a spinning gear when I shift? Is it worth the risk of having some mechanic pull the transmission? I'm at my one year anniversary in a couple weeks, and that leaves only two more years on the warranty.

No, I believe those are two separate issues. One is resolved by TSB (Technical Service Bulletin)054, the other by TSB-055. Of course if you bring the car in for one, you should have both done at the same time; no sense having to leave it in the shop more than once.

The decelleration buzz is really starting to get to me, too, but I have ound I am one of the luckly '00 owners that has a nice smooth tranny (wood being knocked on...)

I'd hate to take mine in for the Buzz fIx and end up witha notchy tranny...

I don't think TSB 54 and 55 both apply to my 2001. I think only the decel buzz is covered as the shifting isn't supposed to be an issue with the 2001.....it's supposed to be fixed already. Has anyone done the decel fix and experienced any better shifting as a result?

Same here. Mine is an early 2000 as well. It is about perfect with exception of deceleration buzz. I just don't want them to take it apart and break something else. I think I am going to leave it alone since I do not noticed it as much when the top is down.

Had both TSB's done. The "buzz" fix did not fix the grind.

How might I find a list of service bulletins, and can I just drive my car into any dealer to have them fixed?

I am feeling happier and happier that I have a 2002 model. As I read this thread, I find myself unable to identify at all with the problems being discussed. Either of the following must be the case:
a. The problems have been completely fixed for 2002
b. I am just very lucky that I bought a good specimen
c. I am too unobservant to notice the buzzing - will go offline now, and check my ears for excessive wax buildup
