I am getting ready to do some paint work on my sebring silver and would like some feedback. Possibly someone has done similar or has seen what I am proposing. I just hate to go and do this and regret after seeing in place.
Current car looks like this:
I like the body style at stock level. I am going to clear the headlights soon. I am looking at going away from the CF hood...I like it but can not get a good fit on a CF trunk lid. I have some Graphite colored wheels on the way also.
What I am looking at doing is painting the OEM hood, hardtop, rear lid and spoiler, side mirrors, and windshield frame in Berlina Black.
I love the combination of black and silver. I am also changing the rolls hoops to be black and some other interior pieces as well. I have red and black door panels, black glove box. black sill plates, black rear vertical trim pieces and back panel, black front kick panels. I like the red but the entire red is overwhelming. Also changing the carpet to black. Also installing coastal metals 3 piece black grill.
Has anyone seem this exterior combination? Maybe have some pics?
Could be interesting. I think, personally, i'd stick with the HT and side mirrors (and maybe...maybe add a black lip).
You might find that its more cost effective to pick up those parts from either salvage cars or owners that are selling them used (ie someone else who has replaced their hood and wants to get rid of it. The only thing you'll have a particularly tough time finding would be the mirrors (based on another user who had a hard time locating them for his GPW).
