Default delay in acceleration?

sometimes when i start from a stop on 1st gear, i step on the accelerator, it seems to delay for a second and then the car starts accelerating. is this normal? wut is the cause of this? thanks.

edit: actually wut i meant was while moving slowly in 1st gear then i decide to step on it, it feels like as if its delayed for a second then starts accelerating.

Supposedly, the Hondata reflash will fix that.

Heat bog, its pretty common. After i got i/h/e and hondata reflash it helped alot. Now it almost never does it, only once in a while.

you sure it's not just because of the low amount of torque available?
