For $2500 you can get an OEM top installed, 2 slightly used 06-07 seats and some money for your pocket.

If geico won't pay the dealers estimate, which they won't, $2500 will get you a very good quality aftermarket top and 2 used seats with new covers

I just had this same experience... My new top (01' with glass conversion) + installation was $980. You can get brand new seats for around $800... I only got $1900 and it covered everything and I have close to a grand left over... $2500 is way more than enough but definitely get the car inspected at Honda, they had me at about $3400 just for my top and my insurance adjusted it a bit for non-OEM parts and after my $1000 deductible I ended up with $1900. You should probably be looking between $4200-$4500, after deductible and adjusting for non-OEM, you might get upwards of $3400, I wish I could have got that lol. I live in Florida, I dunno if that makes a difference

I think you're an ill informed ranter who's ignorant of insurance. I don't work for Gieco but let me suggest a few things.

You've really enjoyed your cheap monthly insurance on the car
You've really enjoyed how they nicely and politely handled the situtation.

You don't like the fact you're not getting OEM top
You don't like the idea you might get used seats.

Non-OEM tops are just as good if not better
You didn't have new seats in the car when it was broken into.

Take the repairs or the check. I'd personally take the $2500 and

1. By Non-OEM top for $350 and install myself
2. By racing seats and/or lightly used OEM from part out $1200-1400

Take my $800 and put it aside.

Then when you've got your car fixed:
1. Learn to read
2. Review insurance policies
3. Go for a drive
4. Deteremine if switching policies will have a different outcome should the exact same thing happen again with a different provider be certain to ask if they'd replace with OEM brand new parts.
5. If the company is more then 50% more then Gieco - shut up
6. If you cannot find a company to meet your needs and you learn Gieco is not so bad please do the following : write them a public applogy on this forum, mail them a copy and learn something about yourself - you have middle class America problems.

You got no problems son. Enjoy life.

About 90% of your response was un-needed. Progressive gave the lowest rates with full coverage for my '07. When I had an accident, it would cost $3500 after my deductible. GUESS WHAT? They replaced everything with brand new Honda OEM without me twisting their nipples! Including a couple wheels!

The bottom line is that Geico is a giant scam company.

Moving back onto topic, OP I'd just go searching for a top and some seats yourself. If you can find some within that budget they'd cut you, I'd do that and pocket the rest. Then tell Geico to take a hike and find someone better.
