Default Detailing Brushes

Hey guys I know there’s a bunch of brushes out there to detail inside and outside. Just wondering what brushes if any do you guys use and what parts of the car do you use them for?

Default Detailing brushes

Hi, for the inside I just use a microfiber to detail but I haven’t had to do any in depth cleaning.
Heres what I know about exterior detailing thought, for most work you can also use microfibers and then use buffing cloths if you need to wax and buff. But here’s a good tip for wheels do not buy the specialized brushes from places like autozone, with any amount of work put in they’ll break instantly. I recommend just taking off the tire and using sponges or a microfiber glove works wonders too.

I have gone through a bunch of those brushes that are designed for vents and louvers. They don't last long or work all that well. The best brushes I discovered are genuine artist brushes. You can get them with longer bristles in any stiffness you want and they actually last and don't fall apart on the second use. Made to last if you get quality ones and not the least expensive ones. Spray them and use em. Vacuum gets them clean quickly when dry.

I use brushed from Auto Finesse. Their hog hair brushes are excellent for cleaning around lug nuts and in the engine bay.

They are a UK based company though, so if you don't live here I'm not super sure if you will be able to get them.

Speed Master Wheel Brushes (smaller one for exhaust tips) -
Amazon Amazon
Horse Hair or Boar's Hair Brush for the soft top (when it's cleaned like once a year). I'll also use this for the leather seats once in a while when they need a deep clean with a proper leather cleaner.
For the wheels (not tires) -
Amazon Amazon

I don't really use brushes much on the interior or outside of the wheels on the exterior.

The brushes are nice to get into the nooks and crannies like the vents and certain button assemblies.
