Determining exact build date.
Hey folks,
As I sit at home on an extended weekend with nothing better to do than think about the S, a thought crossed my mind. What was the exact build date of my S2000? How can I find this out? While the sticker on the door jamb reads "1/01" thereby implying January 2001, is there any way to get more specific?
Anyone know? Comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards
Asif

If you pop off some of the interior panels you can see chalk dates put there. When I installed my Rick's console cover there was an exact date chalked onto the backside of the center armrest. Gotta beleive that is one of the last pieces added at the factory.
The door jam sticker is where the production date is. They dont really get specific on the day of the month. You cant go by the numbers on interior body parts and stuff cause those things are manufactured at differrent times than the car. When they put together a car they just grab the panels they need taking no interest to when they were made.
