Since the rims are smaller on the AP1 I wonder if the ride height is any different than the AP2s.

 

Rim size in no way effected the ride height.

 

all other factors the same, an AP2 will actually sit a little lower...between .07" and .13"

in other words, no, for all intents and purposes, the ride heights are the same. the extra dessert you had at lunch will make more difference than the rim sizes

generally (because all tire manufacturers are different) speaking:

AP1: f-205/55/16 = 24.88" OD r-225/50/16 = 24.86" OD

AP2: f-215/45/17 = 24.62" OD r-245/40/17 = 24.72" OD

I learned something new. Never would have thought the overall tire diameter on 16" AP1's was smaller. But I'm glad for my extra rubber when I hit a pot hole!
