Hi guys!
Last night I was at a Honda dealer and turned down a yellow S2000 at MSRP. Also had rear wing, front chin spoiler, side strakers and cd changer at dealers invoice! Basically, a little over $37,000 out-the-door! The car was there in the showroom, I could have driven it home the next day. Was this a good deal??? I'm hearing more and more S2000 at MSRP, so I didn't really think this was an AWESOME deal. Am I stupid for letting it go?

Was the dealer penske? When I was picking up my silver s2k yesterday, I saw that they had a bunch of options on it but the options were twice what they should be (rear, chin and strakes going for $1000 EACH). My experience at Penske was good (MSRP plus options that I asked for:lojack and car cover) and they didn't try to pull any shady stuff either.

$37k out the door sounds too high. You can do much better to buy a "stripped" car at MSRP (or maybe better now) and add the dealer-added parts from one of our sponsors like H and A Accessories. Good luck with your search.

You only passed up a awesome deal if it was the color you wanted and you cant find one you want at a lower price.

Last year 2000 model 2nd car to leave the lot.....I paid 36,500 out the door with the 100/7yr warrantee. For comparison.

Now its starting at 37,000 I believe then tax!

In SoCal, It a fairly good deal, but if you start looking out of the populated areas, you can probably find it for cheaper, but it probably won't be close to LA.
