Default Did not pull the trigger tonight! will kill myself

I almost bought a 04 S2k tonight for 20K+tax+fee which will be around 22K. The car had 34K miles on it. I thought it was a good deal. I test drove the car and the tranny didn't have the 1-2 notchy feel some have said. I can't really make up my mind. Damn! This is really a tough decision.

heres what you do.

go test drive some cars in the similar range.
you can also go private and find better deals, but thats your call.

anyway..
go test drive a
350z, wrx, solstice, srt4, mustang, mr2, etc.

then realize none will make you nearly as happy, and buy the s2k.

thats what i did.

Or go to test drive the S2k that you wanted, but upon start-up, the salesman revs the engine to 9k RPM's several times. You spot the low oil light on and a CEL. Then the salesman looks up at you with a stupid grin and says, "this thing is fast". Well the only thing that was fast was how I left the place.

Especially if it's your favorite color.

Aren't used cars from dealerships protected by lemon laws?

Depends on what state you're in. Here in VA, I'm pretty sure it's "buyer beware".

As for the OP. Another deal like this will come around. I'm pretty happy these days, because lots of neat cars are suddenly old enough to afford and beat on.

Do NOT deny yourself. Life is too short not to have a car like this.
