When I post, its not to bestow my substantial wisdom upon the OP. Its to etch it into history for those on similar, future quests for answers.

I never care if the OP comes back or not.

True!

But about 8 million such threads exist already. So if new ones are created, its really just for the OP's convenience.

While many other older threads do exist, the products mentioned in those threads might not. So there is still some value in newer threads covering old topics touched upon many times in the past.

I stand with LHT who refers to Puddymod as well. Mobil 1 all the way and I like the fact Billman recommends it too.

For our diff, it should be 75/140 as long as the oil has friction modifier in it. There’s AMsoil, Motul, Eneos and Redline top brands.

Nifty Billman trick is to get another drain bolt and use it for the fill. One wrench size and you get another magnet in there.
lol, this forum is full of knowledge. I will order another drain! Thanks for the tip.

SAE 90 GL5 Hypoid Gear Oil is the critical lubricant. As noted earlier the SAE 90 spec when the car was designed has since been split into SAE 90 and SAE 110. See post #10.
