thinking of picking up an s2000 pretty soon, and I just wanted to get an idea for how much a diff replacement would cost, parts wise i.e. what is the total cost of the parts needed to replace the diff.

Labor for me is either free or heavily subsidized so im not too worried about that

 

to buy a new one you're looking at probably $4500 just for parts. and by the way, the "labor" on this needs to be done by someone who is EXPERIENCED with S2000 diffs. if that's not available, then someone who has built many diffs for other RWD cars like mustangs, etc, would be preferred. this is NOT an easy install, and is more of an art than anything.

you can pick up a used one for around $1000-$1500
