Default Differance in Fujitsubo for AP1 and AP2

I've recently bought a Fujitsubo Legalis R from a friend with an AP1 and will be installing it (God willing) next week. I've been reading a few threads on it and some people say they had to wait longer for an AP2 version in the group buys. Does anyone know what the differance is?

Are the exhausts the same for 00-05?

Thanks in advance,

- J

I spoke to Billman, he says he never found a differance. I do remember him stating in an old thread they had different part numbers though. Could it just be for the hangers? I'm trying to figure out if the actual exhaust systems are the same.

don't be disappointed when you first start it up after install. it sounds like stock. drive around for a while and once it warms up it starts to make some sweet sounds!

Thanks, I've heard its a very awesome deep sounding exhaust, and Billman says the Ap1 and Ap2's are the same!

Thanks, I'm wondering though if you got an "AP2" version? I've seen some people say it fit the 06 no problem and some say it did not fit. I'm wondering if its because there are different versions? I guess I'll know soon enough.

From what the shop told me, there is only one part number from Fujitsubo for all year S2000.

Perfect, thanks! I'm pretty sure that is true. I think the only differance is the AP1 might be able to use the stock rubber hangers (because they are really similiar to the ones Fujisubo provides), but the AP2 might not be able to use the OEM ones (and in turn would need to use the ones included with the kit). If that turns out to be the case I'll just order the ones from an AP1. There a cheap part. Exhaust is on the way!

I was planning to run cat-less but a few people messaged me and told me it sounds pretty well with a cat, any comments?
