If everything checks out and you can negotiate on the price it seems like a decent deal. Definitely negotiate b/c of the top. There are lots of threads around here with people replacing their tops.

He probably traded his seats for black seats plus cash...but you might want to get some info about that. Mileage is good for the year. 02 and up is a definite plus...but then, you have to replace the top anyway...

I would say don't rush into this deal. If you can really haggle him and your gutt tells you it's a good car, maybe go for it. At the first sign of something fishy...I'd walk. Take your time and you'll find a good one.

Good luck with the search.

thank you so much guys for the infos again,
I guess I should take my time and do my research more, and you are right, there most be something going on with it as far as the seats and also according to him, he is the 3rd or 4th owner so there might be something fishy .

Another tip, if its not warm it wont rev over 6K RPM. I thought this was an issue the first time I drove one, but its a safety feature. 3 bars on the temp sensor for an AP1 is warm btw.

Good Luck

Who in their right mind takes a car up to 6k when it's not at operating temp anyways?

California is a huge market so there are always new ones popping up.

Also... That warm up thing is crazy. I won't go above like 3500 until it is complely warmed up. I suppose if I were being chased by a murderer I might make an exception
