Default Different kind of secret compartment question.

After getting a new top installed under warrente my secret compartment lid won't snap into the open position when the top is down, it hits one of the middle support cross members. I don't remember if I had this issue before the replacement or not, can anyone check for me and see if theirs will snap open with the top down?

Thanks,
Mike

I understand that, the issue is that I don't remember if the compartment lid would lock in the open position before the repair, now when the lid is opened it hits one of the roofs cross bars before it gets to the point where it'll snap in the open position. When the roof is closed, the lid will tilt far enough back so that it'll snap and stay open untill you push it closed.

Mine still snaps in place with the top down. Just needs a little more force to snap it back to stay open.

The two elastic straps that pull the forward most bar likely need to be replaced. I had this same issue after some douchebag slashed my top. The new fabric was a lot stiffer and the elastic straps had problems pulling that bar into place.

I bet if you look at your car from behind, the top looks like it's sticking up a couple inches higher when it's folded down as well.

An easy way to check is to push the forward most bar towards the rear with your hand while the top is folding back. If everything sits right and your center console locks up then that's the problem.
