Default differential

Anyone here havetheir differential blown from launching too high? Id like to know how long the stock differential would last me if i drag everyweekend and launch at 6000rpm each time. thanks

continous drag racing like what you described is well... I'm sure it will not be a month, maybe slight more before the entire rear end goes. You can beef it up, but still.. that has yet to be determined how long it will stand up.

everyone that autox the car launches the car like this (actually on race rubber you need a little higher ~7500). That means launching 6 runs / person / weekend. Most have no problem although some definitely have needed to replace the diff ... usu no more than 1x / yr. i think it can be hit or miss... i also i think it depends on your method of launch.

i think a car was made to be used, and wear and tear is part of owning. if launching makes you happy, do it. just be prepared for that diff bill. =)
