Default Upgraded Diff?

Any1 used the Kings performance or comptech diff?

this one:

i have the opportunity for a ford 8.8 diff with LSD. obviously it would be better to get the 8.8 but it would save me a lot of money for my power level if the above would hold strong.

is it really good for up to 650whp?

i'll be sitting around 400whp and the most i'll most likely put down on the car is like 500whp.

(i know torque is the real number to look at but i'm guessing they base it on the estimated torque based on the whp level)

A lot depends on how are you are going to use your car. If it's a weekend warrior and you're careful with the car i.e only roll race, I don't think you'll have a problem with your OEM diff. I have not had any issues with my diff and it's all stock. If you launch the car and or drag race the car or autocross then you may want to beef up your diff.

For what its worth, I have about 20,000 trouble free miles with the Comptech upgraded diff. That's with 12 psi and never launching

It's been about 40,000 miles on my Comptech Diff. I'm only at 293whp, but planning to be around 350whp this summer. Still holding though. I am going to do the ford 8.8 after it gives up though.

I would just go straight to the ford 8.8 if you don't have anything yet.
