differnt rear bumpers?
I accidentally posted this on the Bay area forum, but...
On our drive this weekend, I found that I had a different rear bumper than most of the other folks. In looking at the eleven cars on the drive, we found three cars with a knotch cutout and a seperate metal plate for the license plate holder. Does anyone knwo when this was changed? The three cars that had the cutout were all early MY2000 vehicles with VIN less than 2500. Here are pics of both types of hardware on the rear bumpers. Note the area around and above the license plate to seedifferences. ANyone know more about this?

Hey, thanks for pointing this out. You have now made me aware that our Ozzie Stooks have a completely diferent rear bumper to you guys.
Unfortunately I do not have a digital camera to show you, but we have a cutout that stretches almost the complete width of the base of the boot (trunk). In this cutout there is a recessed insert into which the plate is mounted.
I actually think it looks better as the recess is shallower and wider and therefore gives the backend more of a low slung look.
Thanks for highlighting this.
