I currently own a 98 Accord for commuting etc and a S2000 for play. I read a recent article about the new M3.....wow! Fast, handles and
you don't have to fight your dealer cause your tranny sounds like s#@t!

Should I sell both vehicles and "sprechen zie deutsche!" How about an opinion from fellow
speed racers.....Spridle, Chim Chim what do I do? By the way I have pinks slips on both cars.

Jeez, I have the in on being the 9th on a list of 10 alloted at a BMW dealer for the M3 at MSRP. Seems like you're in the same boat that I am in... get rid of the S2000 and get the Bimmer? Damn, I even got a brochure and everything.

Should I do it also? Rrrrrrrrrrr...

Hell, if your first are paid off, buy another. In Texas, titles are pink when the bank owns the car and blue when paid off.

Well, here's the rub. I purchased a 740il for my wife and the dealer is hot to trot on selling me a new M3. He said "you want it, you got it". After reading Car and Driver's article, it would be kinda nice to hear my
stereo at warp speed! Good luck to you!

I am #2 on the list at my dealer for the E46 M3, at MSRP. You're only problem in finding one, could be that my dealer has 40+ people on their list, and their allotment is only 13 per year, so you can do that math. They claim that the new car will not be mass produced like the last one was, thus, making it challenging to get one. My dealer has had my deposit since October of '99. I love my S2K, but it cant really hold a candle to the new M overall.

Other people on here will tell you they're totally different cars... yeah, the M3 unequivocally rocks.

Go for it.

I'm also #2 on a dealer's list to get the E46 M3, but I am having second thoughts. All the article bout it is saying that is getting soft and more luxury like the Porsche. Seems to me like it's just gonna be like a muscle car, heavy with a lot of power. Probably will be a really good daily car, but probably not as fun as the S2k.

NO decision Spectre - the M3 is a saloon. You bought the S2k for open top motoring right - don't even try to compare the two. With the top down you automatically feel like you are travelling 20mph faster - you ain't gonna get them from a hard top!
