A new one for the board....I have three spots, two on driver side door and one on pax behind the door that look like dimples, not door dings....door dings are, 2-3cm and have a vertical crease...or so I think.. my "spots" look like a pencil eraser pressed into the metal. It seems to be from the spot welds??? Not to noticable but there none the less. Has anyone had this problem? I am careful where I park to avoid the dings and have had some dings on my other cars to compare them to. These have come up within the last five weeks... 2700 miles MY02.

 

I have 4-5 dimples on the panel behind the drivers door - too high up to be from other dooors/whatever. They are 'best' seen looking along the side, rather than directly at them.
Eventually 'decided' that I was the cause - I used to put my hand there when getting out of the car, and I guess that if I pushed a bit too hard...

These days I use the sill. Can't explain the ones you've got on the door though.
