Default Dipstick Problems

Does anybody else have a problem with the dipstick, it seems like i cant get a consistent reading. Ill pull it once and it will say full, pull it again and it says low.

Happens all the time, usually the more you do it the more incosistent it gets since your getting oil on the walls of the tube the dipstick goes in to. The best time to get an accurate reading is when the engine is cold, and try to read the side that faces the drivers side.

5.1 All of the x's from bottom to top (L to H) represent one quart, as long as your oil level is in between any of those X's then your fine. Never let it get below the L lines which means you have 4 or less quarts. Check it every morning before you start driving the car as AP1s are more prone to consume oil (mine does)
