disconnecting ABS?
When I first looked at an S2000, the dealer showed me how you could pull the ABS plug in the engine to improve engine performance. I've never heard or read of this anywhere else, although the ABS plug is pretty brightly colored and easy to spot, as if Honda designed it to be easy to locate.
Has anyone else heard this or tried it, and does it make any difference? I don't really plan on driving without ABS, but I'm sort of curious about the whole thing.

I doubt it would increase performance. Besides, there's a way to disable the ABS in the S2k without altering the hardware. I don't remember what it is, but you can do a series of steps (same principal as resetting the "maintenance required" light), apparantly, during or after startup that disables the ABS system until the next time you restart the car.

Exactly, why would you want to do this. I doubt you'll get any performance increase. You'll just be disabling a safety feature for no gain.

not that anyone would want to disengage the ABS, but there IS a fuse under the hood that controls the ABS modulator if you REALLY feel the need to do so. (I think its number 48 in the fusebox under the hood, but you'll need to check the manual before doing so just in case.) But again...WHY?
I'm comfortable with saying difinitively that this will offer no gains in power. I also don't think you'll find this implementation of ABS to be a detriment in any situation (except perhaps gravel.)
