Disengaging Airbag
i have to share this:

this LOOKS like a passenger airbag disable switch... it came w/ the 02 we bought. in the pix, u can also see the key which goes along w/ the switch. i have no idea what brand (if OEM Honda or not) the disabling box is. just wondering if anyone's seen this before?

yes, and the switch indicator should be readily visible to the passenger.
i'm thinking that unless you have an indicator elsewhere, i doubt that little LED is very visible to the passenger.
still... i'd be curious to see who provided it.

wind,
Excellent question. That'd be a major deal. I suspect you're talking pretty huge dollars for such a thing. Seat sensors (possibly an entire new set of seats, given that the 06 has new seats), dash vent rework, all the hardware... Yeah, I doubt such a thing will ever be offered by the factory
Tony,
Yes, that's an aftermarket switch. BTW, when one of us who has the Honda switch sells our car, we're supposed to have the switch removed. That's our agreement with Honda.

Well my kid is a spoilsport.
She's used to riding higher in the Camry, a low car looks like it's going faster because you are closer to the road. So all I hear is: "Daddy! That's too fast!" and I glance down at the speedo and I'm merging on the freeway at a sedate 50MPH in 4th
Probably she also says this because she never sits in the front in the Camry.
At least she learned that daddy doesn't like it when she puts her feet on the dash
and when she pushes the "big red button"
and when she drops coins behind the cupholder

I've finally gotten over footprints on the dashboard, tall sippy cups in the cup holder affecting my grabbing the shift nob, and breakfast crumbs on the passenger seat. Why? Because my daughter (4.5) and only to a slightly lesser extent my son (2.5) LOVE riding in the S2K. They always want the top down - even if raining - shout "dady go faster" and hold their arms straight up into the wind. My daughter gets most excited when I scorch through a turn with a decent g-load and she keeps yelling "go faster" until somewhere north of 80 (end of my comfort zone with the kids in the car) at which point she gets a giant grin on her face. She's even been known to ask to just go for a ride on the "twisties" behind our house.
Fun fun fun. Maybe when she turns five I'll get her into karting! She is very strong and agile - she is going to love driving.

wow.... so familiar...
especially the arms up in the wind. except for the food / drinks thing. no one eats in the S, and no drinks w/o positive sealing tops (ie bottles w/ screw tops).
the wife doesn't like that one, but she lives with it.my neither of the twins (son or daughter) hasn't ridden in the S yet, but as they approach 2 (and eventually 3), their day will come.
