DIY: Tow Hitch / Bike Rack Installation
$40 trunk rack. Hahahaha! Like I'm going to put one of those on my S and risk denting the crap out of my two favorite possessions (my bike and my car). NOT! JDM S2000, if you don't like it, why bother posting something nasty like you did? I don't get it. If you think it looks bad, well, you're entitled to; but half the point of this hitch is that it drops off the car in no time, and it's invisible! That's one of the primary reasons I got it.
Yflyer, Filthy Beast... Thanks! The whole idea with this was to make the S more usable as a daily driver, which it is for me. I have friends at work who ride MTBs on trails near the office. I lug my bike back and forth from home, no sweat now (well, PLENTY on the trail, but you know what I mean!
) Also, when my wife or kids and I want to go for a ride, now we can bring the bikes and make a day of it!
And, I'm going to a funeral tomorrow, so I pulled the rack and dropped the hitch, and now the car's it's perfect, normal self and my wife and I can travel in class!

add me to the s2k-as-tow-vehicle crew. I've been through 3 different hitches and 2 different trailers in the last 4 years!

Third season and many miles later, works great!
