Default Do you drive faster or slower with the top down?

I've noticed this within my short stint thus far of owning the S (since July of 2012).

I definitely drive a bit more spirited with the top down, I have no idea why, not sure if it's due to the sounds and whatnot in an open area around me that makes me want to hear my engine roar subconsciously or who knows what, but with the top up, I definitely drive much much more conservative.

Anyone else even pay attention to this or am I just being odd? Lol.

Depends how I'm feeling, I guess. Sometimes I put the top down to relax and feel better, in which case I probably have some tunes going and taking it easy.

Other times I put the top down to hear and feel the car, in which case yes, I'm driving the piss out of it.

I would say that I have never paid attention to it, but looking back I can say that I think I drive more spirited with the top down. The HKS Dual sounds great when the top is down. I always love to rev it higher up.

Faster but not because the top is down; rather, because if the top is down that means the weather is nice, which means the roads are in good shape and I have plenty of grip.

I don't exactly drive faster per say but I def pick up speed to around the speed limit faster then normal and have lil longer shifts. I think it's the exhaust to be honest. Sound totally diff with top down, you hear that nice deep throaty sound compared to top up (skunk Catback). Probly main reason I don't speed and zip threw traffic every time tops down is I don't wanna be perceived as "that jackass Zipn threw the streets in his expensive ass sports car with top down trying show off". Which is what everyday normal drivers would most likely think even though its not a farrari and I'm not rich...I get a ton of looks and attention with top down driving normal, the car shows itself off I don't need to exaggerate it

top down is cruisin' style, so slower i suppose. if you drive too fast, the haters can't see you in the blur top down.

Top down is for chillin and enjoying life. Exhaust notes give you eargasms and the hugest grin one can possibly have.
