On topic, I don't have VSA so I use my brain to judge how far to push my right foot. You won't be getting "a better feel" with the car, you're just going to have to learn how to control an oversteer.

I just leave it on because it only takes one mistake to have an accident. Even if VSA shouldn't be relied on, it adds just one extra thing that could potentially prevent an accident. Isn't too intrusive for me either, as I don't like to drive like a maniac on public roads, and I don't track my car (yet).
