Default Oh how I love VSA!

So yesterday I ripped 2nd gear on a slight right turn and the rear kicked out just a bit (there were no cars around). I am thankful that the VSA turned on and set me going straight and didn't put the rear ahead of the front <cold roads, hard tires>. Such good technology needs to be appreciated! I know that driving aggressively on cold roads without VSA would have probably landed me an accident by now. Anyone have any stories they would share about VSA?

In the 4 months I have had my car, I have never engaged the VSA.

I'm so glad my car DOESN'T have VSA. That's all I need is another nanny in the car preventing me from doing what I want to do.

If you are engaging VSA it is not a sign to rave about how you love it... its a sign that you are driving beyond your abilities.

I have an 01, I have driven it through just about every weather condition including northeastern winters. Driving aggrasively should not be done in the cold. I have never had VSA, but I have done a lot of autox and never drive to the point of needing VSA on the street. With proper technique, plenty of fun can be had, well below the car's limits on the street.

Remember VSA is not perfect and should not be relied on, it cannot save you from everything.

VSA is fine and all, but knowing how to drive a rwd car in traction-limited conditions would be nice as well...

You realize you can turn it off, right?

Like I want to have to disengage it every time I start the car.

A lot of the new cars have "VSA" systems that cannot be fully turned off.

Way to go America! Killing the fun for most because of the lack of care or common sense from the few.

Having VSA is great... and usually only owners who own ap1's will disagree.

Every morning I start the car, Click one button to disengage VSA... It's not a big deal...

It's very handy though for crappy conditions and spirited driving.

These are public roads and if we are gonna be a little reckless now and then it's better to be safe.

why would anyone disengage it every time they drive the car? Are you driving irresponsibly every time you get it?
