Do you guys get hit up for change more
Kind of a weird topic.
Every time I get gas in the mornings at this Chevron on PCH and Western (not that good of an area) I get hit up atleast 3 times by different people with the same type of stories....
"Hey man, My car is stranded on the 110 with no gas, can you help a brother out?"
Or the, "I'm not going to lie to you, I want to get F*** up...can you kick me down a dollar or two to buy a forty?"
Well, I dont mind at all helping people out from time to time. However, when you start noticing the same faces with the same excuses every week it starts getting a little irritating.
Like This morning, I saw the same African American dude walking towards my direction that tells me that sob story of his car being stranded on the 110. So, I save him the effort of walking all the way to my car....and I yell out "I HAVE NO CHANGE" and this guy did a ice capade style 180 on his tippy toe ond goes back in the same direction he was originally coming from.
I have had a few cars in my lifetime....BUT, this car by far attracts the most panhandlers PERIOD!!!
I have had the following cars...91 MR2, 86 Celica GTS, Nissan pick up, bmw 325is, Accord and now the S.
Do you guys experience this too? What types of sob stories have you guys heard? also, what do you do to differ the panhandlers from asking you? LOL
Lets here some stories....

Yes i do everytime i go to the gas station since i got my car and started wearing a suit to work they always come to me asking for money i never carry cash though and i tell them i dont have any change they look at me funny saying
I've grown pretty tired of beggers, 99% of them are drunks and/or crack-heads. The last time I was asked I stood there jingling the change in my pocket and said "nope, I have no change" [jingle jingle jingle].
I've never been approached for money. I have been stopped at lights right next to homeless people with signs up.
All they ever do is compliment the car and ask questions about it.
Maybe they were trying to sweet talk me for money??

Toronto huh? There was this other dude with a pink S2000 who spoke, in the off topic section, that police do not do car chases there. According to him, he likes it that way because he can just take off while the cop is walking toward him to write him a ticket. I'm surprised the bums hadn't jacked you car, knowing cops won't chase them. Of course, this is what the dude in the pink S2000 says about Toronto. PUlled of the I-10 in Houston and stopped to ask directions for the on-ramp to I-10 east. The guy asked me for $10. I gave him a buck and he gave me a dirty look. He'd already gave me directions so I skipped out saving $9.
