I use mine all the time. It is very easy to do once you do it a few times. The boot also seems to be molding itself to the installed position shape. When I used it the first time, I was like, this fits? You have got to be kidding me. Now Its shape off the car looks like it is on. I will keep my boot in the trunk since I never plan on having anything else in there any ways.

Actually, IMO the best roadster top is the one on the Toyota MR-S, which forms its own boot AND has a glass rear window.

Also never even removed the boot cover from it's wrapper.

I use the cover all the time. My car goes from my garage to a covered parking lot at work and the top never goes up (It stays warm to hot in Houston all year). I have a car cover that I use while I'm parked at work to keep the dust out of the car. I think the car looks much better with the boot cover in place.

Is there something under the cover?

I leave the cover on whenever I drive. I do pull it off and put up the top at least weekly to keep the mechanism greased.

I don't like the way the car looks without the boot attached. I have never driven the car without the boot securely in place (I have never driven the car with the top up either). As a matter of fact, I didn't even replace the original boot cover when the TSB was issued because I didn't like the looks of the "fixed" boot.

That being said, I wish I had more time to drive the car. I just passed the 10,000 mile mark today and I have owned this one since 9/30/1999!

When the weather is nice, I ofcourse have the top down. I usually like having the boot on(cuz it looks nicer), but when i'm parked somewhere where i just dont' trust the people..I put the top up. And having to take that boot off and putting it back on is just annoying. I dunno... i have mixed view about the boot.

I use the boot cover all the time. I bought a cockpit cover too, so I don't have to use the roof to cover the top.

I used my cover for the first time yesterday, only because I wanted to try it out and I knew I was gonna be taking a nice long drive. The top was actually a lot easier to put on than I thought it'd be. Only 4 points to secure... had to stretch it a bit to fit the two hooks on the back, but I figure after using it for a while, it'll prolly conform a lot better. I think from now on I'll only use it when I know I'm just going on a long, leisurely drive and won't be stopping at any place for an extended period of time.

When the top is down, the boot is on!
