Did you notice the Honda filter has some serious mass to it? I mean, it is an itty-bitty thing but weighs more than it looks like it should. Must be some decent metal structure.

I've always changed my own oil and have always used a Honda filter. Also I've always changed the washer all the time and have seen deformed washers.

I think I posted this before, but I had a very bad Jiffy Lube experience the 1 time I used them. First let me post a disclaimer- I was living temporarily out of an apartment in North Carolina and all my tools, hydraulic Jack, etc were at my home in Indiana, and that is why I considered Jiffy Lube...

Jiffy Lube dripped oil all over the paint, the guy changing the oil got dirty oil on the interior- on the seat, on the steering wheel, on the shifter, and the door handle and on the dash. Then they put this little sticker in the window (which I promptly took off) but it somehow left residue and when I recently washed the inside of the window I saw the outline of the sticker (barely noticable).

They also showed on the bill that they checked tire pressure, and some other fluids, but I know for a fact that they did not.

I was irrate when I got in the car and noticed oil on the steering wheel- I almost went back and complained and then I just vowed never to go there again. When I got back to work I noticed the oil and fingerprints all over the hood and fender. Fortunately everything came off without too much trouble, but I can't imagine this stuff happening in the first place.
