Default Do you use wheel locks with your AP2 wheels?

Seems like over kill to me to add wheel locks for Ap2 wheels that only fit on a S2000 (right?) . Anyway just wanted to see what everyone else thinks. I have AP2 v2 wheels on right now and am on the fence as to getting a set of locks...

What are your thoughts?

THanks!

I am pretty sure S2000's don't have a one off bolt pattern. I know at least some Fords share the same bolt pattern as well as maybe Suby's but I could be wrong. It depends on where you live. Are you in an area where you would be suprised to come out and find your car on cinderblocks? Stealing the wheels and only the wheels is a fairly serious endevor.

Our bolt pattern isn't unusual. The high offset is.

McGard wheel locks are like 20-30 bucks for a set. Why take a chance? It's a cheap deterence. AP2 wheels are decent looking and fairly sought for.

^I figure if the thief wants your rims, its gonna be planned - they're gonna be searching for a s2k with the ap2s if they do steal yours, so they will probably have wheel-lock removers. those reverse threaded things. So, i guess up to a point its useful but other than that its pretty useless?

A fellow local s2k owner had his ap2 wheels stolen. They left his s2k on 2 cinder blocks, 1 under each rocker panel. Just spend the $20-$50 for a set of wheel locks and be done.

Wheel locks are a deterrent only for stupid thieves. My car came with them so I use them but an aftermarket alarm with shock detection is a better option. Just trying to remove OEM exhaust tips sets off my Clifford.

I did when I ran OEM wheels. Not now though. Yes on the Accord with those OEM's.

I don't think wheel thefts are nearly as prevalent with S2000s as they are with other cars. It seems like you're more likely to lose your seats than your wheels. I had a set of Volks on my car for more than a year before finally putting wheel locks on them. The S usually sleeps in the garage, but not always.

I grabbed a set of locks for my AP2 V2 rims. I know they don't fit on other cars cause of the offset, but it gives me my piece of mind about thieves who would still steal the rims and sell them.
