yup, mine will do this every now and then too (no idea why, unfortunately). doesn't bother me that much. and my s2k is an '05

I think I am just going to tell people that it is talking to me and they don't understand it because they don't speak S2000.

Does it only happen if the AC is on? If you turn the fan blower on by itself (no green light on dash) does it do this? If not, sounds like a AC clutch problem..? or belt slippage...
