Default Does Anyone Have Chips In Wheel Well Liners?

Hi. Does anyone have any chips in their front wheel well liners? My Berlina 2004 has small pieces broken off on both front sides, near the screw attachments.

Does this need to be addressed immediately, or is it not really a problem? The pieces chipped off are about one inch in size.

I can't believe I am the only one seeing this. If so, I am one in a million. Any advice and info would be appreciated. Thanks.

sounds like what happens when you bottom out the car...
i used to fly mine, but after changing the wheels dont to that very often anymore.
when you get all 4 off of the ground, and happen to land hard the front seems to take it more than the rear. and this can burn into the liner.
i also know that with the new tires, i have rubbed the plastic pins that hold the liner down to almost nothing.

I get chips on the front INNER wheel wells right next to the well liner (above the small mud guards). I get these alot during autocrosses when rocks start rolling around in the well. Strangely enough it happens only in the front, not the rears. I touch them up periodically. Doesn't seem like there's anything you can do about it.

It doesn't seem to go through the primer...just the paint.

I'm not sure if anyone understands what I am talking about. The "wheel well liners" can't be touched up nor do they contain a painted surface. They look like they are made of plastic and they are screwed on underneath the front fenders.

Both of mine on either side have pieces broken off about an inch in size.

Did you buy your car used? It's probably been in a fender bender.

My Subaru has these on each side where the liner would attach to the bumper, but ever since I hit a deer last fall they've been broken.

No, I bought my car brand new with 12 miles on it. The chips occurred after I drove it in the rain, maybe mixed with some hail.

Yep, I've got chips in that area. Right next to the plastic inner fender where the sheet metal bends 90

I'm sorry, but I'm still having a hard time understanding the seriousness of this issue.
