Plastic is plastic. Fender liners on a BMW aren't made out of CF.

I was talking about paint chips, my plastic inner fender wells are fine. Maybe you've run over some large objects on the highway.

I know this issue is not serious or life threatening, still it's disconcerting to see this on a new car. My car has lost some of its newness, when I think about the broken spots.

So far, not many have said they experienced the same thing, only maybe one.
I honestly don't think most owners inspect their inner fender liners.

If pieces if your inner fender liner are being broken off by road debris, you might want to consider driving on paved roads.
